History: The West Coast Baseball Association was an attempt at a western Negro League competitor, but it only lasted one season. The Seattle entry in the league was actually Abe Saperstein's Harlem Globetrotter baseball team under a new name, that of a local variety of salmon.

History: The 10-18 1961 Northwestern Wildcats baseball team may not have lived up to the winning ways of prior years (1957 in particular when the Cats won the Big Ten outright and were stopped just short of a trip to the College World Series), but they sure looked good trying!
